I used to think chaperones were chaperoning young women, in order to, you know, make sure they didn’t engage in, gasp, any immoral behavior.
Now I think the chaperones were chaperoning the young men, in order to, you know, make sure they didn’t rape the young women.
And I think maybe we need to bring back that tradition. And expand it.
Certainly beyond “young” men.
So, what’s the premise? No man can be trusted to be alone with a woman? And so needs a chaperone. No, that won’t work. I mean, his buddy can’t be his chaperone.
Nor can any other man, actually. So, what, chaperones must be female. And armed with a stun gun. That might work.
